Microfiber cloth, or glasses cloth. I usually add a bit of rubbing alcohol to clean the various kinds of dried splatters.
No negative effect yet.

i want to know if simply copying the ‘my documents’ folder which contains my iTunes and photos etc to an external hard drive will be OK.
After i reinstall windows will it be fine to just copy this my docs file from the hard drive onto the newly cleaned PC and have it all working fine again?
i just though id ask before i done it and end up loosing all my music and films etc.

You can copy the My Documents folder onto an external hard drive. But you’ll still have to reinstall iTunes, and all the other programs you had on the computer before.

I installed PC Cleaner on my computer. I have windows 7 home premium on a Gateway DX4831-01e. When I run a scan it shows there are around 150 errors in the registry, so I hit the repair button and it says it fixes them. But, everytime I run the scan the errors show even after I had hit the button to repair them. Does PC Cleaner really work?

1st you should go for windows 7, way better than Vista and very user friendly… OK now to your question, if your computer didn’t come with a c.d. driver than basically your next step would be do get on somebody elses computer and download the drivers from what ever the computer you have i:e (dell.com, hp.com) just look up the model and then go to drivers and you can download the driver from there, basically you just need to download the Ethernet driver and with that you can just download the rest from your computer there are different drivers for the same computer so download a couple to make sure they work.

I had a problem over msn that said (ImageHost.jpg) or something like that, i was getting people saying that i was sending them something, when i really wasn’t, I have Spy Eraser, and Bit Defender, is there any programs that are free that will get rid of viruses?

I had never heard of Spy Eraser before and after a quick search I couldn’t find a single good thing said about the software from any reputable website. Call me skeptical, but I wouldn’t trust a piece of software that no one has anything good to say about it. Personally, I would get rid of it first.
Bit Defender is pretty good but if it’s not doing the job for you, I would get rid of it after downloading a different anti-virus software like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avira (both free and I’m currently using Microsoft Security Essentials).

Please help. The backup should contain the registry, all programs installed in the computer, system folders. The backup may not contain “My Document”. Thank you!

You’re doing it the most difficult way. Reinstall Windows, then reinstall your programs. (If you miss a single file doing it your way you’ll have loads of problems.)

You should be careful when downloading codec especially when you get the movie from torrent. They might be downloading virus instead.
anyway WMP sux.
Try another media player like VLC. I have never need to download codec when using VLC
