I don’t know if you know but it is actually a Virus it self.

Download these from Download.com

AVG Free
Spy Bot Search and Destroy
and
Ad-Aware

Install all of them then boot into safe mode (Tapping F8 on boot up)
And have them all run full scans and delete all infections.

I had Advanced Antivirus on my computer when I turned it on last night. After trying to get rid of it I restarted my computer and now it won’t open windows at all. It just keeps trying to reboot. I can’t assess Safe Mode by using F8 and have no idea what to do now. I don’t have a recovery CD as it didnt come with my computer.

Question by Ryan: How do I disable the antivirus on a mac?
I downloaded World of Warcraft for my Macbook Pro and I tried starting it and it wont start. Blizzard says that I should disable the antivirus. How?

Best answer:

Answer by Lex Luthor
Your being suckered. You disable your AV and the virus that is attached to your download will infect your computer. Don’t be a dummy. Delete the game before it wipes out your hard drive. Never disable your AV. If a site tells you to disable your AV you can almost bet it’s malicious.

Question by Vest_75: Is running defrag software, virus scan n reg cleaning simultanously the rightway to do PC maintainence?
I saw IT tech doing it often in my dept.

Hey
Haha I wouldn’t suggest doing them all at once as the Registry cleaner might be deleting something as the defrag is trying to store but definately do them apart. Keeping your registry clean and defragged is important for keeping a fast, working computer as is keeping it virus and malware free.
Good Luck :)

Question by cheetahgirl0128712004: How can I keep my computer on to download the antivirus programs?
My computer is shutting itself down automatically doesn’t give me enough time to download or look at anything. How do I keep it open for awhile to download some antivirus programs?

Best answer:

Answer by Scottie
Go to a friend’s computer (or even the library) and download the antivirus and/or antispyware program to a CD and get it on your computer that way; you will have to update it when you install it to your computer, but you may have better luck that way since you will be dealing directly with the antivirus/antispyware server and not opening a browser – the virus or malware program can prevent you from downloading any antivirus programs from a web site once you are online – updating an antivirus program once installed is a different story.
