I don’t know what I did, but I am unable to get to my internet options. That entire top row is gone. Help!

open internet explorer, press the alt key and the menu bar will appear, click on view>toolbars>check menu bar to keep it there permanently.

The program still opens but does not function after the main menu. How do i change the settings back to normal?

Without seeing the actual program I can’t walk you through step-by-step, but you can usually change which programs are blocked by going to your firewall in the actual security program (from the main page) and then uncheck the program.

Never heard of them.. i run Avira free, malware bytes and super anti spyware. and spybot for the immunization feature. never had any problems they couldn’t fix

If you don’t like IE8, you can uninstall it. It will automatically go back to IE7.
