Question by ????: How do I know that PC Cleaner is really fixing problems on my windows 7?
I installed PC Cleaner on my computer. I have windows 7 home premium on a Gateway DX4831-01e. When I run a scan it shows there are around 150 errors in the registry, so I hit the repair button and it says it fixes them. But, everytime I run the scan the errors show even after I had hit the button to repair them. Does PC Cleaner really work?

There is no reason to be using a registry cleaner on Windows 7 unless you are using your PC to test software and you have to install / uninstall on a regular basis.

Registry cleaners can cause more problems than they help and should be avoided.

If you can describe your specific problems, maybe we can help you resolve them. They may have nothing to do with the Registry! That said:

If you see an annoying pop up offering PC Cleaner PURCHASE options, NO, it doesn’t work, it’s a marketing scam. cCleaner does work, it’s free, and, it isn’t a marketing scam:

TIP: No Registry Cleaner App can actually fix general Windows problems, only those that are actually associated with the Registry.

Do the same errors keep appearing? If they do, then the cleaner is not working as it should.

I use a tool called “RegCure” on my Windows 7 system. It finds like 200 errors on my computer each scan but all the errors are different meaning that it actually cleans them all. I got it from http://www.fastregistryfixes.com/best_registry_cleaner_tools.html
