I got a secondhand scanner (canon FB636U) and I’m trying to download its driver for windows xp.
However, I accidentally downloaded a driver for an older version of windows insead. I need to find and delete that driver before I can install the new one. The thing is, I have no idea where to find the drivers on my computer and delete this one. Can someone give me step by step instructions, please?

Hmm, XP should’ve detected and set up your scanner on its own.
    1. Look for My Computer in the wallpaper background or in the start menu.
    2. Highlight My Computer and press the right button on your mouse, or the left button if you use the right button most of the time. A drop down menu should appear.
    3. Click on properties, click Hardware and then click Device manager. Find your scanner and there should be a remove or delete button.
If you didn’t find the scanner, the driver files were not installed and in this case all you have to do is delete the files that you downloaded.
