ok, over the past few weeks i’ve downloaded eset nod32, norton 360, and bitdefender. currently, i’m using bitdefender and i uninstalled nod32 and norton but for some reason in the windows security center i still have multiple firewalls on and multiple virus protections on and it says that they may conflict with each other. i only want bitdefender to be running right now, how do i turn off the other programs?

I recommend completely uninstalling eset nod32 (or whatever), Bitdefender and Norton 360. Then, afterwards, restart and re-install Bitdefender and download and install another virus-scanner (eg AVG AntiVirus from http://www.download.com). By the way, ZoneAlarm Firewall is better than Bitdefender in my opinion. Try that and see if you like it.

Go to your security from the control panel and click the drop menu for Firewalls. Click on Show Me The Firewalls For This Computer.
There it will list your firewalls and tell you which ones are turned on. You can click on the ones you want to turn off and select off.
You should be able to open the other antivirus and turn them off under settings or something similar.
